GenZ Voices Essay Contest Official Rules

1. Essay submissions must be unpublished prior to submission. Published works will be considered invalid submissions.

2. Contestant must be between 14 and 25 years old and currently a citizen of the United States.

3. Submissions in excess of 800 words will only have their first 800 words entered into the contest.

4. Only one entry per person per contest.

5. Source links are required to be considered for prizes.

6. Only submissions submitted before 11:59 Eastern Standard Time, October 22nd, 2023, will be considered.

7. Finalists will be contacted by November 5th, 2023.

8. Submissions will be judged by a neutral panel of ActivateGenZ staff without consideration for names or other personal identification information of contestants.

9. All decisions made by the judges panel are final.

10. The first place winner will receive a $50 prize.

11. No submissions from ActivateGenZ staff members or immediate family of staff will be considered.
