President-elect Donald Trump has announced most of his Cabinet picks, aiming to have them all in place by Thanksgiving. With a Republican Senate, many of these nominees are likely to be confirmed. Let’s look at some of the key positions and the people Trump has chosen to fill them.  

Susie Wiles: White House Chief of Staff

Role:

Manages the president’s daily schedule and staff, ensuring everything runs smoothly. 

 

Background: 

Wiles is a seasoned political strategist who worked on Trump’s campaigns in 2016 and 2020. Her loyalty and experience make her a trusted advisor.  

Marco Rubio: Secretary of State 

Role:

Leads U.S. foreign policy and represents America around the world.  

Background: 

A U.S. Senator from Florida, Rubio has focused on issues like human rights and relations with Latin America.  

Matt Gaetz: Attorney General

Role:

Oversees the Department of Justice and enforces federal laws.  

Background:

A congressman and vocal Trump supporter, Gaetz has been a strong advocate for conservative legal reforms. 

Robert F. Kennedy Jr.: Secretary of Health and Human Services

Role:

Manages public health programs, including Medicare and Medicaid.  

Background:

Known for his controversial views on vaccines, Kennedy wants to challenge traditional health policies.  

Tom Homan: “Border Czar”

Role:

Oversees immigration policies and border security.  

Background:

As a former ICE director, Homan has experience with strict immigration enforcement.
